Description
There are butterflies, and then there are Van Cleef & Arpels butterflies. This one dates to the 1970s, when the Maison was reimagining nature in softer, more wearable gold forms, and it captures everything VCA does best: poetry, movement and impeccable craftsmanship.
The wings are pavé-set with bright brilliant cut diamonds, and a vivid green emerald cabochon sits at the center for just the right pop of color. The butterfly has fluttered through VCA’s designs since the early 20th century, and these 1970s versions are especially collectible: romantic, wearable and distinctly Parisian. Signed and numbered, naturally.
