Let’s take a moment to appreciate this tiny antique French scent bottle pendant, shall we? Pendants like this once hung from a well-dressed lady’s chatelaine, ready for a discreet dab of perfume whenever the occasion called for it.

The body is white enamel wrapped in hand-scrolled repoussé gold, set with rubies and an emerald cabochon, each in its own ornate bezel. The hinged lid opens to a gilded interior, and (very rare!) the original stopper is still with it. Add lion-paw feet and a baroque pearl drop, and you have a collector’s piece that is equal parts perfume history and wearable art. Fill it with your signature scent, or just let people wonder what’s inside.
