Description
SUPER rare silver curb link necklace from Hermès, circa 1990s, finished with the house’s signature buckle. It’s held on to every ounce of its charm and sex appeal – IYKYK.
Why the buckle? Hermès started out in 1837 making harnesses and saddles, so equestrian hardware is baked into everything they do. Even their most famous chain, the Chaîne d’Ancre, came from real-world hardware: Robert Dumas designed it in 1937 after spotting anchor chains on the Normandy coast. This flattened curb link comes from that same tradition, and at over 90 grams, it has serious presence.
